Michael is an avid equestrian and has been living in San Marcos since October 2000.

He is currently serving as the Assistant Superintendent of Business Services for the San Marcos Unified School District.

 

Michael also served 20 years in the United States Marine Corps retiring as a Lieutenant Colonel in March 2005,  and he is also a veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2003.

 

Michael holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics/German from Northwestern University, Evanston, Illinois, a Master of Science degree in Finance from the Naval Postgraduate School, Monterey, California, and a certificate in school business management from the University of Southern California, Los Angeles, California.
