Travis Lindsay has served in general management roles for medical technology companies in the U.S. and overseas for more than 20 years. He is the owner of Appareo LLC, providing management and marketing advice to both established and start-up companies. His professional experience has been focused on the application of optics and lasers for medicine, including the introduction of optical coherence tomography for eye diagnostics and light-activated drugs for the treatment of cancer and eye diseases.
Travis and his wife have been residents of San Marcos since 2005. An advocate for parks and trails, he currently serves as vice chairman of the city’s Community Services Commission and is a volunteer Park Ranger. Travis is active with the San Marcos Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) and serves as a disaster response trainer for the United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR).
Volunteering for the San Diego-Imperial Boy Scout Council, Travis serves as a district commissioner and leader for the organization’s National Youth Leadership Training program and is an Eagle Scout. He attended San Diego State University, graduating with a B.A. in Journalism and received his M.B.A. from the Cox School of Business at Southern Methodist University. He speaks German fluently.
